One of the Philippines’ leading smartphone manufacturer, Starmobile, just launched their latest flagship device, Starmobile Octa. The device rocks with its true octa core processor and NFC. This is Starmobile’s second octa core device.
According to Starmobile President Michael Chen, “The Starmobile Octa is truly a ground breaking device. With its high-end features, it makes available the latest and the greatest wireless technologies to even more Filipinos.” We just couldn’t disagree with Chen’s statement because Starmobile has truly proven itself as a company that values delivering premium products and latest technologies to Filipinos since 2011.
The new flagship phone is packed with NFC technology, which allows 2 devices to communicate instantly. Chen added that by simply tapping 2 devices with NFC, you can authorize devices to send files or activate profiles. Octa is the second smartphone sold by a local manufacturer
Take a look the phone. Isn’t it beautiful?
Volume rockers and sleep/wake buttons are on its right side. The 2 SIM slots are located on its left. MicroUSB (MHL ready) port and mic are located at the bottom, while the 3.5mm headphone jack is at the top. It looks great and does not look like anything Starmobile launched before. Feast your eyes with its pretty slick curves.
Here comes the monster features – storage, connectivity, screen and speed.
Internal storage of Octa is 32gb, but you can expand it to additional 64gb.
It has 2 SIM slots, which are both 3.5HSPA+ capable.
Connectivity wise, Octa has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4 (Low Energy), USB and of course, NFC.
Its full HD 5″ Screen is an Asahi Scratch Resistant OGS screen. Based on our initial hands-on, it has outrageous viewing angle and shows extra crispy images and other media contents.
The phone is undeniably fast. It’s powered with 1.7Ghz MediaTek 6592 True Octa Core processor. This is complemented with a 2gb RAM. For gamers out there, the device has a quad core Mali-450MP4. Benchmark also shows that this device indeed packs a punch. Antutu score: 28,375. Boom!
Starmobile Octa will be available this weekend at SM North Edsa Starmobile Concept Store for only PhP16,990.
