It was reported that more than 2.5 million reservations were made on JD.com, one of the main online stores. Despite the lack of a 3.5mm audio jack, it looks like Samsung is preparing to offer an audio dongle for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ The lack of a 3.5mm audio jack on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, at this point, is no secret. Various leaks and evidence have surfaced on the Internet that the company will finally ditch the headphone jack on the latest Note series. Oppo unveiled another one of their innovations. Following their under-display front camera, the company showcased a screen with 88-degree curved edges dubbed the Waterfall Screen. Oppo Vice President, Brian Shen shared the photos of the device on his personal Weibo profile. This was followed by various bloggers and media representatives sharing their experience with the device on social media. Based on the photos, it has no buttons on the side and what looks like slivers for bezels on the top and bottom of the phone. Oppo’s Waterfall Screen on the device looks to be as close to 100% screen-to-body ratio as it gets. Along with this, new screen is narrower than the panel on the Oppo Find X. MediaTek has officially unveiled its new gaming-centric SoCs – the Helio G90 series or namely the Helio G90 and G90T. These utilize an octa-core combination of two ARM Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55s alongside the Mali-G76 GPU. Both the G90 and G90T are built on TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process and can be clocked up to 2.05GHz. They can also support up to 10GB LPDDR4X RAM. The new chipsets feature HyperEngine game technology, bringing support for a variety of functions that should improve the overall gameplay experience. Among them is a networking engine that can automatically combine WiFi and LTE connectivity to boost signal strength. Dual WiFi connectivity support is also another feature in the new MediaTek Helio G90 series. Blinks celebrate! Samsung has announced that the Samsung Galaxy A80, Watch Active, and Buds Blackpink Edition will be coming to the Philippine shores. The Blackpink Edition, of course, is mainly black and pink. The Galaxy A80 has pink trimmings around the phone and around the camera module along with a Blackpink logo in the back. OPPO has announced the rollout of ColorOS 6 Open Beta for the OPPO F9, which offers users the latest Android mobile operating system experience. All models upgraded to ColorOS 6 integrate new features introduced by Android Pie. Some of these include improved interactions, enhanced AI capabilities, and optimization of the underlying interface. Huawei launched the Nova 5i Pro in the Chinese market. The phone is expected to be released in the international market as the Mate 30 Lite. The Nova 5i Pro has a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display with 2340×1080 resolution. Under the hood, it has a 7nm Kirin 810 chipset. It has a quad rear camera setup that uses a 48MP Sony IMX586 main shooter along with an 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP Super Macro unit, and a 2MP depth sensor. OPPO has recently announced it renewed three-year partnership with the Spanish football club, FC Barcelona. To commemorate the new chapter, the Chinese brand is releasing a Limited Edition FC Barcelona Reno 10x Zoom. HONOR officially unveiled its newest mid-range phones, the HONOR 9X and the HONOR 9X Pro! Both phones look fairly similar design-wise. They both feature colorful backs with an X-shaped gradient. Samsung has announced that it has begun mass production of its latest 12-gigabit LPDDR5 mobile DRAM. The new RAM is optimized for AI and 5G features in future smartphones, this may include the upcoming Galaxy Note 10. Lee Jung-bae, VP of DRAM Product & Technology at Samsung revealed that the new LPDDR5 memory is built on the second-generation 10-nm class process. It will support UHD video recording and machine learning, on top of significantly extending  battery life. 12 Gb LPDDR5 DRAM can transfer 44GB data in a second when the memory is made into a 12GB package. It also uses up to 30% less power through integrating a new circuit design with enhanced clocking with clocking, training, and low-power feature. The company is also preparing a 16Gb LPDDR5  to supposedly “solidify its competitive edge in the global memory market”. Source

After a tease from Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi, we finally get to see the new color for the Redmi Note 7 series. The company has revealed the new shade, Mirror Flower Water Moon which is available for purchase in China. While it is a mouthful of a color, it is a machine translation of the symbols for the moon reflection on the water. The Mirror Flower Water Moon Redmi Note 7 comes in 6GB/64GB configuration for CNY 1,399 (around PHP 10,400) while the Pro is offered in 6GB/128GB configuration and costs CNY 1,599 (around PHP 11,900).
