MediaTek has unveiled its newest mid-range chip, the Helio P65, equipped with faster cores, and a more capable NPU for AI tasks. The Helio P65 uses two high performance Cortex-A75 cores, along with six high efficiency Cortex-A55 cores. It uses a Mali-G52 GPU, in comparison to the more powerful G72 used on the Helio P60 and P70. The NPU is also touted to be two times faster than the previous one, and 30% faster than a competitor’s. The chip supports 48MP Quad Bayer sensors, multi-frame noise reduction, and bokeh shots for up to two cameras. It also supports H.265 format, EIS for videos, and camera-based face unlock. For recording – it’s 1080p/60fps at max. P65 can do dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0.  Sadly, there’s no support for Dual Channel LPDDR4x RAM. We’re expecting to see this chip in mid-range devices, though most likely not in the upper category.…
