realme Buds T310 Review
realme has been stepping up its game in the audio department, and the Buds T310 is a testament to that. Being a “side” sucessor to realme Buds T300, these earbuds are packed with features that promise to deliver an immersive audio experience without breaking the bank.
The realme Buds T310 offers a compelling package for those looking for feature-rich true wireless earbuds. With its impressive noise cancellation, customizable sound profiles, and long battery life, it’s a strong contender in its price range. While it may not dethrone the top-tier premium earbuds, it certainly punches above its weight class, offering excellent value for money.
In this review, we’ll talk about its specs, what its ANC can offer, and a rundown of its sound performance using our IEC711 frequency response tester.
Specs That Impress
At the heart of the realme Buds T310 is a 12.4mm Dynamic Bass Driver. This larger-than-average driver is designed to pump out fuller bass and crisper sound quality. The titanium-coated diaphragm adds rigidity, while the imported high-tension HTW Wire Coil and high-thrust N52 Magnets work together to reproduce instrument details with impressive accuracy.
Silence the World with ANC
One of the standout features of the Buds T310 is its 46dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. Using a combination of feedforward and feedback microphones, these earbuds can detect and cancel out external noise up to 46 dB. That’s a significant improvement from the previous generation’s 30 dB. With six microphones working in tandem, you can expect a clearer audio experience, whether you’re commuting or working in a noisy café.
These features prove that it realme did not cheapen the features despite its affordable price point Combine this with an impressive battery life, it is just amazing how this pair of TWS managed to bring balance to price and performnace.
360-Degree Spatial Audio
For those who crave an immersive audio experience, the Buds T310 offers 360-degree Spatial Audio. This feature uses an embedded chip and a spatial-audio algorithm based on the HRTF head function model to create a surround sound field. It’s like being in a theater, with audio coming at you from all directions. The best part? This feature works with a wide variety of Bluetooth devices and audio sources.
Crystal Clear Calls
The AI Deep Call Noise Reduction feature is a game-changer for those who take a lot of calls. Using a DNN neural network noise reduction algorithm, the Buds T310 can extract human voices in real-time while filtering out background noise. The four built-in microphones work together to enhance voices and reduce wind noise, ensuring your calls are crystal clear.
Customizable Sound Experience
The Dynamic Sound Effects feature allows you to tailor your audio experience to your liking. You can adjust the intensities of high, medium, and low frequency bands independently without affecting the overall sound quality. This level of customization is accessible through the realme Link app, available for both iOS and Android.
Sound Performance
I put the realme Buds T310 through its paces using an IEC711 frequency response tester, and the results are impressive. The earbuds offer multiple sound signatures that can be adjusted via the realme Link app.
We used our tester with a calibrated sound card using REW to generate frequency graphs. All our tests had been normalized: 85db and 1000Hz.
In the Balanced mode, the frequency response closely follows the Harman IEM target, offering a neutral sound signature that should please most listeners. The bass is present without being overpowering, and the mids and highs are well-represented.
Switching to Bass Boost mode, you’ll notice a significant bump in the low-end frequencies. This setting is perfect for bass-heavy genres like EDM or hip-hop. The sub-bass extension is particularly noteworthy, giving tracks a satisfying rumble without muddying the overall sound.
The Vocal mode emphasizes the mid-range frequencies, bringing vocals and acoustic instruments to the forefront. This setting is ideal for podcasts, audiobooks, or genres where vocal clarity is priority.
What’s impressive is how well the Buds T310 maintains clarity across these different sound profiles. There’s minimal distortion even at higher volumes, and the soundstage remains relatively wide for in-ear monitors.
Battery Life That Keeps Going
The realme Buds T310 boasts an impressive 40-hour total playback time with the charging case. On a single charge, you can get up to 9 hours of playback with ANC off, or 6 hours with ANC on. The charging case provides an additional 31 hours of juice. And if you’re in a hurry, a quick 10-minute charge can give you up to 5 hours of playback time.
Comfort for Long Listening Sessions
Comfort is crucial for any pair of earbuds, and the Buds T310 doesn’t disappoint. Each earbud weighs just 4.2 grams and features an ergonomic design that fits snugly in most ear shapes. The IP55 dust and water resistance rating means you don’t have to worry about a little sweat or light rain during your workouts.
Now, is this worth getting? The realme Buds T310 offers a compelling package for those looking for feature-rich true wireless earbuds. With its impressive noise cancellation, customizable sound profiles, and long battery life, it’s a strong contender in its price range. While it may not dethrone the top-tier premium earbuds, it certainly punches above its weight class, offering excellent value for money.
