Following the announcement of the Exynos 980 processor from Samsung, Vivo has announced that it will launch a smartphone powered by the new chipset later this year. The Exynos 980 is the first mobile processor with an integrated 5G modem. However, it isn’t a flagship chipset, but a mid-range. It has a Mali-G76 MP5 GPU, said to be built for gaming. The SoC supports LPDDR4x RAM , UFS 2.1 and eMMC 5.1. The maximum display resolution supported is WQHD+.
