It seems like Qualcomm has a new next-gen chip in the pipes after a new chipset codenamed Qualcomm Kona surfaces on Geekbench. We’ve already seen quite a number of smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 855+ chipset. But the new Qualcomm Kona that has recently been spotted on Geekbench may just be the upcoming Snapdragon 865. The next-gen chip is expected to power the 2020 flagship. It looks more and more so with a massive score of 12,915 multi-score. It is reported that the device has Android Q and 6GB RAM along with the new chipset. Although, it is also possible that it is just a testing platform and not an actual smartphone. The base frequency is 1.8GHz but it is expected that the new chip will pass the 3GHz threshold even with only one core. The company is already close to hitting the threshold with the Kryo 485 CPU core…

The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has recently been spotted in benchmarking site, Geekbench, revealing its monstrous specs, including a hefty amount of RAM, well, it’s basically the world’s first with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Despite running on a Snapdragon 855, it scored noticeably lower than other devices with the same chipset, both for single and multi-core benchmarks. The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has a 6.39-inch Samsung AMOLED display and boasts a 24MP + 16MP dual rear camera system with AI features. It packs a 3,350mAh battery and is priced at $398 for the 6GB + 128GB model, and $442, $501, and $649 for the 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants respectively. Source

Samsung may be working on a couple of new J-series device, as the latest information for Geekbench shows a device anmed SM-J800FN, presumably the Galaxy J8.  The J8 will run on  Android Oreo, and will be powered by 1.6GHz  Exynos 7870 with octa-core processor. Just like the Galaxy J7, it also has 3GB of RAM. The potential of having the Exynos 7870 in a device is pretty much what we see in today’s updated smartphones: dual-camera setup with Full HD Video recording, up to 1920×1200 resolution display, and Mali-T830 for the GPU.
