September is good month for telco consumers. Globe did not just recently open their new building to the public, but they also launched a slew of new services.
Tomorrow is a special day for us dads and before anything else I would like to greet all fathers like me out there a Happy Father’s Day! Most small problems are becoming big because of communication problems. The absence of communication is the most common cause of broken relationships. As a father, I should understand the value of communications and it’s importance in strengthening the relationship. Just like Globe Telecom, they understand the value of connections and it seeks to bridge relationship gaps, to nurture and strengthen bonds in order to make great things possible. In celebration of father’s Day, here is a short video from Globe which I featured in my previous article Globe Real Stories: Daddy’s Girl. It is a true-to-life video about a father and daughter who were reconnected by simply communicating. We will see how the power of communication bridges relationship gaps. If you’re a Blackberry fan, and have been been yearning to own a Blackberry Q10, well, you’re in pure luck as you can now get it from the leader in postpaid, Globe. Globe is first telco in the Philippines to launch the BlackBerry Q10 and will be the only operator offering the newest BlackBerry smartphone for the first thirty (30) days when it becomes officially available in the country on June 7. You can easily get a Q10 for as low as PhP1,499 monthly under the best-ever MySuperPlan 999. Effectively, with this plan, all you have to do is to dole out monthly cash-out of PhP500 plus the PhP999 service charge over a 2-year contract period. Of course, you can opt to get higher MySuperPlan variants at different contract period so you won’t have to worry about cash outs or up-front charges. The Blackberry Q10 features a Dual-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9, QWERTY…
You probably heard about this during the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4, but just last night, Globe officially launched Best-ever MySuperPlan.

This is BIG NEWS! I just read an article of Doris Dumlao of Philippine Daily Inquirer about the imminent availability of the iPhone 4S through the country’s network giant, Smart Communications. This is not a surprising move from Smart though as they originally bid for the iPhone exclusive before, but Globe got it instead. According to Dumlao, “Manuel V. Pangilinan, chairman of Smart’s parent firm Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co., confirmed that Smart was in talks with Apple to launch the latest version of the iPhone—iPhone4S—before yearend.” With Globe losing the exclusivity deal with Apple, the seemingly hot “war” between the 2 telco giants are likely to even heat up hundredfold. Note that the iPhone is one of the best selling phones of all time, and being “at the top of the foodchain”, any telco that carries it really posts significant boost on sales. I believe, the competition will become…
