A teaser video for the upcoming HONOR 9X has surfaced online, and shows a date at the end, which could be when the device launches – July 23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=66&v=sMiU_dLHtqE Unfortunately, it’s the only thing that the video revealed. Several teasers of the phone’s retail packaging have also been teased, revealing what it will focus on – gaming, and photography included. Rumor has it that the device will boast a Kirin 810, a 4,000mAh battery, and improved cameras with AI-assistance. GPU Turbo 3.0 will most likely be in the mix as well. Given the trend, we could even see multiple variants of the device, but at this point, we can only make guesses. HONOR has been teasing the arrival of its next entry-level offering for the Philippine market – HONOR 8S. Today, the company has revealed its local pricing and availability. For a quick recap, HONOR 8S boasts a 5.71-inch FullView display with a minimalist dew drop notch, for a screen-to-body ratio of 84.6%. Powering the device is a Helio A22 processor, along with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage, expandable via microSD card. For imaging, the device sports a 13MP f/1.8 rear camera with PDAF, and a 5MP f/2.2 front camera. It runs on EMUI 9 on top of Android Pie, and packs a 3,020mAh battery. HONOR 8S is priced at PhP5,490, and will be available in stores starting July 19, 2019. You can also pre-order the device from Shopee starting July 13, 2019. Both phones have a dedicated macro lens, and the Pro model in particular, has the brightest aperture on a phone on its main camera.
