Good news for current and upcoming Smart postpaid subscribers! the company has announced that Huawei’s newest flagships, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro will be making debut on its GigaX plans this coming April 28, 2018. These plans offer a bigger data allocation for all your web surfing and video streaming needs. The Huawei P20 and P20 pro are at the forefront of the company’s continuous pursuit of excellence in mobile photography – featuring Leica-engineered optics, along with the Kirin 970 Neural Processing Unit, which uses advanced algorithms to keep the phone in top shape and be at its most efficient. The P20 Pro in particular, is the world’s first smartphone to feature a triple rear camera system – composed of a 40MP RGB sensor, a 20MP monochrome sensor, and a third 8MP sensor with a telephoto lens. The P20 on the other hand, uses a dual camera system composed of…

After numerous rumors and speculations, Huawei’s newest flagships, the P20 and P20 Pro were finally unveiled on its grand event in Paris, and confirms most of what we already know. Both devices are powered by the octa-core Kirin 970 Neural Processing Unit,  which uses advanced algorithms to intelligently keep the phone in top shape for a longer period of time. In terms of display, The P20 has a 5.8-inch LCD display, while the Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED display. Both with FHD+ resolution. The P20 also boasts 4GB of RAM, while the Pro has 6GB. Both come with 128GB of storage. For imaging, the P20 sports the same dual camera system on the Mate 10, composed of a 12MP RGB sensor, complemented by a 20MP monochrome sensor. It gets even more interesting on the Pro, which has a 40MP sensor for stills, combined with an 8MP secondary sensor for 3x Optical…

We all heard news about the Huawei P20 Pro’s triple camera setup at the back. This time, Huawei is claiming that the rumor is true and it is part of their campaign for the P20 Pro. But what’s special about this setup? The camera inside the Huawei P20 Pro is again co-developed by Leica and is composed of a 40-megapixel sensor. Yes, that’s right. A whopping 40-megapixel camera that you’ve seen in the previous Nokia 808 PureView model. Next to this is an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with “hybrid zoom” which can provide 3x optical zoom and according to our sources, both 40-MP and 8-MP sensors can capture a high-quality photo with 5x magnification. It gets more interesting with the third camera sensor. A 20-megapixel monochrome camera with outstanding bokeh effect. It will be assisted with Laser AF and an IR-RGB sensor. The front snapper will have a 24-megapixel camera sensor…

The embedded video is from a tweet that shows a man doing backflip and smoothly slows down with three circles appearing from the screen. This definitely reminds us of what’s ahead of us, the triple-camera setup from Huawei P20 Pro. https://twitter.com/Ricciolo1/status/975414020336504833 Sadly, the teaser doesn’t tell us anything about its resolution or frame rate. We can only assume that the slow-mo shooting will not only be exclusive to P20 models but also to other variant. Source

Huawei P20 with the code name “Emily” or EML-L29 was recently spotted in GeekBench. Based on the results, it performed quite as we expected. The Huawei P20 runs on the Kirin 970 SoC with Android 8.1.0 and EMUI as its user interface. The chipset is said to empower the AI-enhanced dual camera setup. To spice things up, the Huawei P20 Pro is fitted with a unique triple camera setup. What interests us more is that the P20 will run with 4GB RAM which is particularly similar with the P20 Lite variant. The P20 family will be announced in Paris on March 27. Source

Yes, that notch is worth emulating. With Apple introducing the notched screen in its launch of the iPhone X last year, we know it’s just a matter of months before another smartphone maker does its own version. As these Huawei P20 and P20 Plus leaked renders show, the company has done a nifty job on keeping the so-called “notch” (can’t we call it another name?) on the narrow side. It is highly probable that between the two designs, the P20 Plus will see the light of day. The notch with the almost bezel-less screen brings it closer to the iPhone X which Huawei obviously wants go mano y mano with.  Though we’ve seen early drawings of the P20 which show a physical Home button, we still think the all-screen option is closer to reality. Still nothing is stopping Huawei from pushing both variants as what most manufacturers do. A physical home button is…

The Huawei P20 is set for release this coming March 27. And thankfully, we got a glimpse of what the device looks like. Based on the images below, the Huawei P20 sports a dual camera both on the rear and front. The Huawei logo follows the same design but now in landscape orientation, which for some, is a better way to shoot a photo/video. That camera bump though. The fingerprint sensor is located under the home button in front of the device. The volume rocker and power button are both in the same place just like in the Huawei P10.  We might also expect a USB Type-C at the bottom but based on the rumors, there will be no 3.5mm headphone jack. On March 27, Huawei will confirm all of these images and specs and we can’t wait to see the final form. Source

If you haven’t heard, Huawei momentarily  bumped off Apple’s place in the smartphone race last year becoming the  largest player after Samsung.  It’s range of smartphones  is as diverse as its multi-market approach which appealed to the masses as well as a flagship phone that can rival the best of what Samsung and Apple have to offer. I surmise that Huawei’s jump to second place has a lot to do with the capabilities of its cameras which have been the talk of the town on how smartphone cameras should perform. If having, arguably, the best camera in a smartphone is what Huawei has to offer, shall we have three of them then? Here’s a sneak-peek on how it’s upcoming flagship, the P20 might look like. We shouldn’t believe the schematics right since anyone with an MS Paint can draw one. However, Huawei’s invite to its own press conference has it telling us that…
