Yesterday, HUAWEI Philippines conducts the first of series of workshops designed to help those who want to get good-looking photos with their smartphones – in particular, the HUAWEI P30 series, featuring the first Leica-Quad camera system. Here’s a couple: Choosing the Right Distance To help the camera distinguish the subject from the background, a distance of about two meters from the photographer and the subject would be ideal. The farther the subject is from the background, the better the bokeh effect that will be produced. In this regard, the P30 Pro’s ToF camera can even…

I had the chance to exclusively meet and interview Mr. George Li, Country Manager of Huawei Consumer Business Group Philippines and Mr. Peter Guaden, Global Product Marketing Manager of Huawei Technologies during the official launch of Huawei P30 series in the Philippines. We talked about a number of things specific to Huawei, the products they launched and their future in the Philippines. Little did I expect that the interview will lead to new discoveries about Huawei and a renewed appreciation of the brand’s effort to reach…

Huawei P30 (Left) and P30 Pro (Right)Huawei’s P20 series phones were considered as the best in class during their time, as they introduced a number of firsts, a triple camera system being one of the most notable. And today, they’ve raised the bar once more by re-writing the rules. Welcome the new Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. Both phones sport a beautiful gradient finish. Theirnotched HDR OLED displays now make use of curved sides, like the Mate 20 Pro. Huawei has also gotten rid of the earpiece, in favor of the screen with Acoustic Display Technology. Whether it is optical or ultrasonic is uncertain, but it does seem to be very quick to respond. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qa1JSYPpTLk The video shows the process of training the scanner and shows the phone being unlocked a few times. There’s nothing new in particular, but it’s proof that Huawei has improved the unlocking speed on the P30 Pro. Source
