Lenovo announced a number of devices at IFA 2019 in Berlin, Germany. Along with the new Yoga laptops, they’ve also launched three new monitors – Lenovo Q27q, Lenovo Q24i, and the Lenovo ThinkVision S28u-10. The Lenovo Q27q and Q24i bring balance to home offices, gaming, and entertainment spaces. The two new Lenovo consumer monitors have integrated multimedia audio via their dual 3W speakers. They are also certified to minimize eye fatigue by TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort standards. In addition, they feature Radeon FreeSync technology. The Lenovo Q27q is the new premium 27-inch QHD crystal-clear IPS display and nearly edgeless on three sides. It’s ultra-slim for its size at 6.9mm, has a wedge base design and ergonomic features. The Lenovo Q24i is a 24-inch FHD near edgeless display with 1920×1080 resolution. At just 6.9mm, it’s truly ultra-slim. Sony announced its latest smartphone called Xperia 5 at IFA 2019. It is considered as the compact sibling of the Xperia 1 flagship with its 6.1-inch OLED panel with a tall CinemaWide screen. Under the hood, the Xperia 5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Its rear cameras are the same trio of cameras on the Xperia 1, these being a 12MP main sensor partnered with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. These are placed on the upper left corner of the Xperia 5. Its display has a resolution of 2520×1080 or FHD+ The Xperia 5 also features Dolby Atmos-enhanced stereo sound with one speaker on the bottom and the earpiece acting as the second speaker to complete the stereo experience. Of course, HMD Global had to have a surprise at IFA 2019, apart from the five Nokia devices that were unveiled. Turns out that the brand has decided to come out with a new product – wireless headphones. They named it the Nokia Power Earbuds. The Nokia Power Earbuds boast an IPX7 rating which means it’s waterproof at 1m for up to 30 minutes. It can deliver up to 150 hours of battery life, thanks to its 3,000mAh portable charging case that can charge the earbuds up to 30 times. (The buds can deliver up to 5 hours of up time per charge). Its graphene drivers allow it to deliver immersive sound, while Bluetooth 5.0 ensures seamless connectivity. Apart from the three features phones, HMD Global also launched two new smartphones at this year’s IFA. Both exude excellent craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail that’s inspired by Nordic design that the brand is known for. Both are also crafted from a polymer composite that’s twice as strong as polycarbonate but is lighter than Aluminium.
