Technology Game Changer, LG Philippines has once again partnered with global content provider Netflix, for the premiere of its new original series, “The Umbrella Academy.” Held at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati, guests were able test their wits with a series of mind-boggling challenges at the seven super rooms, and overcame puzzles related to the dysfunctional mindset of the characters from the series. The LG G8 ThinQ and G8 ThinQ will be unveiled at MWC 2019 in February. The V50 will supposedly feature 5G connectivity and will be available in March to fight the Galaxy S10 X. The LG V50 will reportedly have a 6” screen and feature a new hands-free interface that will allow users to control apps and multimedia by waving their hand up/down and left/right. This will all be powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset with a vapor chamber to keep it cool. This is all fed by a 4000mAh battery. Earlier today, in an exclusive event at the newly-opened Nation Museum of Natural History, LG unveiled its newest innovation, the 77″ OLED Wallpaper TV (W8) with one of the museum’s most notable landmarks, the tree of life providing an ideal backdrop for the occasion. At only 2.57mm thin, and 77 inches wide, the W8 actually looks more of a window than a TV in a living room, and promises to deliver an unmatched home entertainment experience. LG has launched a budget friendly smartphone named the X2. It’s powered by a quad-core Snapdragon SoC, and has a 5-inch HD display,  2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. There’s an 8MP camera on the back, and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front. It measures 144.8×71.9×8.2mm and weighs 152g. The X2 runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat and tucks in a 2,500mAh battery. The LG X2 has just been launched in Korea, where it carries a price tag of KRW 198,000 ($175 or Php 9,300). LG opted not to unveil a new flagship at MWC, basically letting the other boys take the spotlight for a while. Now though, the Korean tech giant has finally showcased its newest crowning jewel, the G7 ThinQ, which on paper, seems to boast what you’d expect from a device of its class. The G7 ThinQ is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, and comes with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage for the G7, and 6GB + 128GB for the G7+. LG has finally revealed the date when it will officially unveil its newest premium smartphone, the LG G7 ThinQ. It will be on May 2, 2018, to be held at Metropolitan West in New York City, and on May 3, 2018 at I’Park Mall in Seoul, South Korea. In PH, the device is scheduled for launch sometime at the end of May. The G7 ThinkQ is the first premium smartphone to feature the ThinQ name, which is used to brand all LG products and services that make use of Artificial Intelligence or AI. LG is the latest manufacturer to jump into the K-pop wave, as it prepares its most ambitious campaign to date, with one headed by today’s hottest K-pop boy band, BTS. Less than two weeks ago, we gave you a heads-up that the LG V30s will be showcased in MWC2018. Now, via gsmarena we got the goods that indeed, the critically-acclaimed LG V30 will be getting an upgrade.  Two devices were announced, namely the V30S ThinQ and V30S+. The former houses 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage while the latter gets the same RAM but goes with a 256GB storage. New colors for both variants also underway, namely Moroccan Blue and Platinum Gray. So what’s with the ThinQ? It’s LGs way of introducing its own AI which is akin to Samsung’s Bixby that’ll let you control your smart appliances and realize your LG branded IoT potential. As for pricing none yet but should be in the range of the LGV30 that came before it (P35,000 to 45,000).

Evan Blass (@evleaks) has recently revealed some interesting tidbits about LG’s next flagship smartphone. With the company’s shift in its launch strategy, all eyes are now on a device code named “Judy.” According to the leak, Judy is a smartphone that sports an all-new design. It has a 6.1-inch 18:9 Full Vision display that uses a new type of panel called MLCD+, which is said to be capable of delivering 800-nits of brightness while consuming 35% less power. Other specs are fairly expected – A Snapdragon 845, dual rear cameras, IP68 certification, HDR 10, and wireless charging.  The device is also said to have 4GB of RAM, which is a bit odd considering that most other flagships are already in the 6GB or even 8GB territory.  In any case, the device is rumored to be set for a June launch. LG is set to showcase an upgrade of their recent flagship device, the V30, on the upcoming MWC. Based on ETNews, the device will be called the LG V30s. Upgrades will be mainly focused on AI and the LG Lens. The LG V30s will also have 256GB of memory which is four times upgrade from the  base model of 64GB. If Samsung has Bixby, LG also has LG Lens.
