I had the chance to tinker the elusive Nokia N9 at Nokia’s exclusive event last Thursday. Check out the raw pictures and my first impressions below.
Nokia N900 user can now get the chance to upgrade their phones to the latest firmware, Public Release 1.3, which boast hundreds of bug fixes and an upgrade in the usability of the phone’s graphics chip.
DJ_Steve and E-Yes of Maemo.org forums managed to install and dualboot Android 2.1 and Maemo 5 OS on their N900. I was able to do it myself on my Nokia N900 and I’m here to share you the steps I followed.
Changelog of PR 1.2 firmware upgrade for Maemo 5 OS is huge and I just want to share it with you.
There was a rumor back then that the Nokia N900 will be available in March 2010. It was a rumor until today when I received emails from Nokia Careline Philippines.
The moment I’ve been waiting for is here.
Official Meego repository for N900 is now live. Click this link to take a peek. Thanks to @wonderhelm for tweeting about this.
This is probably old news for Maemo fans but for those of you out there who are not yet aware, Meego is the lovechild of Maemo and Moblin
Why get a Motorola Droid if you can boot Android on N900 too!?
After 2 long months, I’ve finally received my Nokia N900!
My N900 has been shipped! Countdown starts now! It should arrive in Manila by Monday or Tuesday! Watch out for my exclusive unboxing photos and videos soon!
Here are some screenshots of Maemo 5 installed in Nokia N900. The said device is still on pre-order basis on NokiaUSA or Amazon. Amazon now sells it for $582.00 and NokiaUSA sells it for $649 (with a free BH-703 bluetooth headset).
The N900 will not be available in the Philippines. But if you, specially Pinoys in the Philippines, who want to order this, you may have the device delivered to Johnny Air Cargo in New York then have them deliver it to you in the Philippines.
