Low light shots came out as expected, slightly oversharpened and very grainy at times. OPPO’s signature AI Beauty Technology which analyzes your face to know how it should “beautify” you returns on the F7. And while I personally prefer not to use it, it does quite a decent job of getting rid of blemishes. It’s just that it slightly overdoes it in my case. One thing i’ve noticed was the relatively slow shutter speed, especially when shooting with Vivid Mode or Depth Effect ON. It takes around 2 seconds to snap again, which is quite frustrating when you’re in a hurry. At times, the camera also struggles to focus on subjects even up-close when shooting with Depth Effect ON. Software The F7 runs on the new ColorOS 5.0 on top of Android Oreo, and introduces a number of changes and new features. To start off, OPPO has gotten rid of…

The 25MP front camera is HDR capable and also features the same AI Beautification Technology used in the F5. That means it scans numerous points on your face to determine how you should be “beautified”. You can also use it to unlock the phone with facial recognition. The 16MP rear camera is also capable AI-capable, can detect and adapt to up to 16 scenes, and also features Portrait Mode. Now, there’s Vivid Mode, which should make colors look more saturated,…

Ms. Jane Wan, OPPO’s Brand Marketing Director, recently posted a selfie at an OPPO store, revealing a new ad for the new F7 smartphone. What’s even more interesting is the caption she used for the photo, which suggests that the device may be launched locally next month. To give you a refresher, the OPPO F7 is rumored to be powered by the new Octa-Core Helio P60 SoC from MediaTek, and will have a 25MP AI-Assisted selfie camera, which like the F5 scans numerous points on your face to intelligently apply effects that will make your selfies look more natural. The device is also touted to come with a new version of ColorOS, which supposedly brings new features such as photo editing, screen recording, and tilt to wake, along with improved facial recognition. The OPPO F7 will sport a 6.23-inch 19:9 display with FHD+ resolution, and will pack a 3,400mAh battery. Don’t…

A leaked document, which was supposedly used for training promoters regarding the upcoming OPPO F7 has recently surfaced online. The document also revealed in full details, most of the device’s core specs. 19:9 Aspect Ratio, Helio P60 SoC The OPPO F7 will have a 6.23-inch 19:9 display housed with FHD+ resolution, housed in a 5.5-inch frame – resulting to a screen to body ratio of 88%, and also creating a cinematic effect when playing games or watching movies. It will also have a feature called Full Screen multitasking, although we don’t know how that works. Perhaps one of the most interesting finds is that the device will run on the new AI-Focused Helio P60 SoC which basically learns how you use the phone, and making the necessary adjustments to ensure that the device performs at optimal state while being power-efficient at the same time. 25MP AI Assisted Front Camera For…
