ASUS and OPPO have been constantly battling to get a good chunk of consumer mindshare. Its most powerful smartphones – Zenfone 5z and Find X – are now both available in the Philippines, and have proven to be among the best ones available in the market. While both phones are in 2 price polarities in the flagship category, they offer good gaming and camera performance. OPPO has always tried its best to be significant in the industry. In the local scene, the company has been getting attention by consumers in the midrange smartphone category. They mainly share the same space with ASUS, VIVO and Huawei. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oKk7lSLxJQ&feature=youtu.be This was not the case 4 years ago. In 2014, OPPO launched Find 7 and it was – in many ways – ahead of its time. At a relatively considerable price, it has monstrous camera sensor, stacked with powerful specs and VOOC technology. Unfortunately, it was the last time we saw OPPO’s Find series in the Philippines until this July 2018 when they launched Find X in the country. It is a timely event as OPPO celebrates its 4th year anniversary in the Philippines. OPPO Find X is a fusion of tech and art. The manner of how OPPO is communicating it to its customers is similar to how…

At long last, OPPO’s newest flagship has been finally launched in the Philippines. The Find X takes its inspiration from the N3, a device which pushed the boundaries of technology during its time, and improved on the concept. The result is a smartphone with one of the most beautiful designs I’ve seen. I’m not usually a fan of glossy but my goodness, it looks so good in this. The Find X has a 6.4-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, and is powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For optics the Find X uses a motorized pop-up section for both the 24MP front camera with 3D AI Selfie and AI Portrait Mode, along with dual 16MP + 20MP rear shooters with AI scene detection. The mechanism only appears when needed, such as when unlocking the device, or as you open the Camera…

OPPO just released a teaser for its newest flagship. What’s even more interesting is that the company seems to be on the verge of reviving its Find series. This in fact has been confirmed by the company in its Weibo account, and through Twitter. Of course, there’s no information as to what this upcoming device’s specs are, but if I remember correctly, the Find series always had the best chips around.  Oh, and I’m sure you remember that rotating camera? OPPO’s current flagship, the R15 Pro, is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 660, so I’m hoping that the Find X, or whatever they’ll call it will have something at least similar or better.
