Realme has achieved another milestone under its belt, as it ranked 4th in smartphone shipment market share in India for Q4 of 2018, according to a recent article by global industry analysis firm, Counterpoint. The report indicates that in a span of 6 months, the brand was already able to establish its foothold in the country, even passing OPPO, which is a very strong contender in the market. Another strong brand, Xiaomi assumes the top spot, which isn’t quite a surprise, considering the number of devices that they come out with, combined with very competitive pricing. Realme, which started operations in the country in Q2 of 2018, already earned a spot in the top five brands in Q4 of 2018, that equates to 4 million users faster than any other brand, and they aren’t even stopping just yet. Realme, following a strong launch last year, is set to launch the Realme 3 within the first three months of 2019 according to the latest rumors. A 48MP cameraphone is also reportedly in the works for the brand, joining their growing roster of smartphones. This could take on the Redmi Note 7, which was released in China recently. Whether the 48MP shooter will be a part of the Realme 3 series is still uncertain.
