The Redmi K20 Pro has impressed in DxOMark’s camera tests. The K20 Pro had an overall score of 102 which matches that of the Pixel 3 and a point ahead of the iPhone XR. The Redmi device is a more affordable smartphone compared to both devices. The camera got a score of 108, putting it within arm’s reach of flagships from 2018 – the Galaxy Note 9 clocked in at 107 and the iPhone XS Max was at 110. The score of the Redmi K20 Pro was thanks to its triple camera setup of wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto sensors. Few phones at its price point have that to offer. The Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro have been launched and look to continue the success of the Redmi Note 7 series! The Note 8 is a well-specced and affordable handset, while the Note 8 Pro is the first officially announced smartphone with a 64MP camera. The Redmi Note 8 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. The SoC is based on the 11nm process and has eight Kryo 260 cores with four clocked at 2.2GHz and the rest clocked at 1.8GHz. The base Note 8 has a 6.3-inch LCD Full HD+ display. With an LCD display, the more affordable phone has its fingerprint scanner on the rear compared to the in-display trend. With the launch of the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro closing in, more and more information about the two devices continue to surface. This time, a Weibo post has confirmed that both will run on the new gaming-focused G90T chipset from MediaTek. Another image also confirms that at least one of the devices (or both) will sport a 64MP sensor for its main camera, possibly the Samsung ISOCELL GW1. It also shows a physical fingerprint scanner, which rules out the use of an in-display solution. The Redmi Note 8 series is expected to make its official debut on August 29, 2019. After a tease from Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi, we finally get to see the new color for the Redmi Note 7 series. The company has revealed the new shade, Mirror Flower Water Moon which is available for purchase in China. While it is a mouthful of a color, it is a machine translation of the symbols for the moon reflection on the water. The Mirror Flower Water Moon Redmi Note 7 comes in 6GB/64GB configuration for CNY 1,399 (around PHP 10,400) while the Pro is offered in 6GB/128GB configuration and costs CNY 1,599 (around PHP 11,900). Whether this color will be offered in other markets or remain a China-exclusive is unclear but it looks fresh. Source

The Xiaomi Redmi 7A was spotted on TENAA through its model numbers. It detailed some of the specifications of the new phone from Xiaomi along with its design. Listed with the model numbers M1903C3EC and M1903C3EE, the Redmi 7A is said to be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. It is also listed to come in three memory configurations – 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB, and 4GB/64GB with expansion of up to 256GB via microSD card. It will have a 5.45-inch display with a 1440×720 resolution. Its camera setup features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The Redmi 7A will run on Android Pie and most likely MIUI 10. After being revealed that the Xiaomi’s sister brand was going to reveal the Redmi K20, its alleged specs have been leaked on Twitter. Xiaomi is stepping up its selfie game with the new Redmi Y3 and its astonishing 32MP front camera, the highest that you’ll find in any device from the brand, combined with a very competitive price tag. The Redmi Y3 boasts a splash-proof body, and has a 6.26-inch dot notch HD+ display with  Gorilla Glasss 5. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 632, along with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage, expandable with a microSD card. It has a 6.26-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution, and is powered by a Snapdragon 632 with eight CPU cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It has a dual camera setup in the back consisting of a 12MP main shooter with a 1/2.9-inch sensor size and a secondary 2MP sensor. At the front is an 8MP selfie camera. The Redmi 7 appeared on TENAA and this time around, it has been updated with images and full specs. The images reveal that the smartphone will come in at least one gradient color. It also shows the dual rear camera setup with LED flash and a fingerprint scanner. The Redmi 7 has a 6.26-inch LCD 1520×720 display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Redmi officially unveiled the Redmi Note 7 Pro, along with the Redmi Note 7 in India. Speculations were right in expecting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675, 48MP camera, and up to 128GB storage on the Pro version. While the regular Note 7 has a 12MP main camera. Knowing Xiaomi for years, the company specializes in developing budget smartphones and delivering outstanding marketing strategies. Xiaomi mainly launched their budget smartphones in India and no wonder the sales are up to the roof.
