For its time, the Vivo V11 was one of those phones that really set the standard in the mid-range category. For a proper price, it offered great performance, impressive optics, and even features that at the time, were rarely present in devices at its category, such as Dual Engine Fast Charging and an In-Display Fingerprint Sensor. Now, the company has announced a price drop for this awesome device. From its original SRP of PhP19,999, you can now get your own Vivo V11 for only PhP16,999! The Vivo V11 features a lovely color fusion design, which makes use of a gradient that spans across the back panel. It sports a 6.41-inch FHD+ Halo FullView display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core processor, backed by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device is equipped with AI-Assisted dual rear cameras composed of a 12MP main sensor coupled with…

The summer season has begun for some, while for some it has yet to begin. It’s the season for vacations and weekend road trips. It is the best season to make new memories and capture moments with friends and family. One of the smartphones that capture these moments this summer is the Vivo V15 Pro. The latest smartphone from Vivo has a 6.39” notchless Super AMOLED Ultra FullView Display. It does so through an Elevating Front Camera. The Elevating Front Camera packs a 32MP front shooter that mechanically pops up when in selfie mode and quickly retracts when exiting selfie mode. The front camera has AI technology that instantly detects if images on the sides are partly captured and will send a prompt to switch to wide-angle. At the rear, it has a triple camera setup with a 48MP main camera with quad-pixel sensor with 12MP effective pixels and f/1.8…

Following the success of the V11, the Vivo V15 Pro is the brand’s newest entry into the mid-range smartphone market. Armed with various improvements, and a number of firsts, this phone is the result of various innovations, ready to be experienced by those who demand absolute quality. Looks Good, But Awkward Too The Vivo V15 is a good looking device, well mostly. It uses what they call Spectrum Ripple Design, which basically mixes a ripple pattern with a gradient, which then reacts differently to light depending on the angle. Now that is beautiful, except that it also gets ruined by the triple camera module, which protrudes so much, that it makes the phone look awkward when flat on the ground. Well, they probably had to fit in that 48MP sensor somewhere, so that’s sort of the price you have to pay. Apart from that, the phone is an eye-candy, especially…

Vivo’s next contenders in the mid-range category have finally made its debut in the local market. The Vivo V15 and V15 Pro are devices that aim to bring the company’s various innovations to more consumers. Both the Vivo V15 and V15 Pro benefit from the new Spectrum Ripple Design, which reacts uniquely depending on where the light is coming from. Both also sport Super AMOLED Ultra FullView Displays – 6.53 inches for the V15 and 6.39 inches for the V15 Pro. Under the hood of the former is Helio P70 backed by 6GB of RAM, while the latter houses a Snapdragon 675 AIE octa-core processor backed by 8GB of RAM. Both have 128GB of storage. Both phones are equipped with three rear shooters- 12MP (Main) + 8MP (Ultrawide) + 5MP (Depth) for the V15. The V15 Pro on the other hand, replaces the 12MP sensor with a 48MP quad pixel…

These days, you don’t even need to carry a bulky DSLR to get an IG-worthy shot. Most people would just pop out their phones, point to a subject, shoot, and upload in a matter of seconds. While most mobile phones with good optics can capture photos that almost rival those taken with DSLRs, one brand has taken things a notch further with its innovative imaging technologies. In 2018, Vivo announced its NEX smartphone, catching the attention of the industry with its groundbreaking innovations – the world’s first elevating selfie camera and its notch-less full-screen Ultra FullView display. The elevating selfie camera was achieved using a highly-sophisticated micro-stepping motor, an independent driver IC, and a precision control algorithm, to mechanically pop up and quickly retract when the user is not taking a selfie. The 6.39″ Super AMOLED Ultra FullView display on the other hand, maximizes the screen, and delivers the ultimate viewing…

Following the launch of the V15 Pro, Vivo is reportedly gearing up for the reveal of its more affordable sibling, the V15, which will come with most of the Pro’s core features, such as the pop-up selfie camera. The V15 will reportedly have a 6.39-inch LCD display, a downgrade from the Pro’s AMOLED display. It will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device will still sport a 24MP main camera compared to the 48MP on the pro, but will retain the same 32MP selfie shooter with interpolation. The rest of the specs are still unknown, but sources point to a price range of around $352 at max, or around PhP18,300. Source via

Vivo has just launched the newest member of its mid-range lineup in India. Welcome, the V15 Pro which sports a 32MP pop-up selfie camera, and three rear shooters, the main one using a whopping 48MP sensor. The V15 Pro features the Spectrum Ripple Design, which involves a gradient finish with wave like ripple patterns combined. It has a 6.39″ Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, and houses a Snapdragon 675 processor with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Going back to the camera, the 48MP main shooter features Super Night Mode, which basically combines several photos with different exposure to improve clarity and detail. Then there’s a second ultra-wide angle camera which give you a 120° field of view. Finally, there’s a 5MP depth sensor. Under the display is a 5th generation in-display fingerprint scanner, the earpiece, the proximity sensor, and the ambient light sensor. The…

Just a few days after Vivo launched their sub-brand, IQOO renders of their first phone have already surfaced online. The render shows a tall phone that folds in the middle. But unlike the expected fold-in design that we’ve seen in renders from some manufacturers, this looks to have a fold-out design. There isn’t any other information available about the phone but according to the reports, the price could be well above CNY 7,000 (about PHP 54,178.88). The renders show that the foldable phone has no ports or buttons. Whether this is because they are early renders or a possible buttonless, portless approach, like the Vivo Apex 2019, we’ll just have to wait and see. Source

Vivo has possibly launched its own sub-brand after a new account appeared on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The account started off by sending out an initial post that read, “Hello, this is IQOO,” with no other information. Reports say that IQOO will be positioned as a premium brand with prices of handsets to go above the RMB 5000 mark (about PHP 38,483.57). This is despite the initial post not giving away much with how Vivo plans to position the IQOO brand. MySmartPrice tracked the iqoo.com domain and were able to trace it back to Vivo and this is perhaps the biggest confirmation that IQOO is the sub-brand of Vivo. Other Chinese smartphone makers like Huawei, Oppo, and Xiaomi have launched their sub-brands in Honor, Realme, and POCO, respectively. Vivo is the latest to jump in the sub-brand bandwagon. Source

It has previously been revealed that the Vivo V15 Pro has a 32MP pop-up selfie camera. In addition to this, Amazon India has also revealed that the upcoming smartphone from Vivo will also have a 48MP main camera on the rear. The image on the landing page also confirms that the camera will stack the 48MP into one 12MP shot, promising sharper and less noisy photos, on paper. The page also focuses on the in-display fingerprint scanner of the Vivo V15 Pro and its February 20 launch date. The Vivo V15 Pro will have a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED 1080×2316 screen. It supposedly has a Snapdragon 675 with up to 8GB of RAM. The rear camera will have a triple camera setup with a 48MP, 8MP, and 5MP f/2.4 depth-sensor and a 32MP selfie camera. Powering the device is a 3,700mAh battery. The project price of the upper mid-range phone is…

Vivo has cemented its position as an innovator of the smartphone industry last year. From the first in-display fingerprint scanner in the Vivo x21 to the impressive features such as huge screen-to-body ratio in the NEX series. An unofficial image has circulated the web of what might be the speculated V15 or the latest in the NEX series. The image shows a pop-up front camera. The image suggests that this model that will truly highlight what it’s like to have a notch-less display has been in the works since early 2018. Meaning, Vivo has been brainstorming how to create the smartphone with a full-screen display for a while. Aside from the intriguing front elevating camera, rumors are that it will also jump into the triple-lens trend. Based on the image study, we could also be looking at a waterproof smartphone. While nothing’s certain yet, what is certain is that Vivo…

In light of Vivo’s announcement of its new APEX 2019 concept phone, one feature really stood out – its in-display fingerprint scanner, which now covers the entire screen. That means you can basically tap anywhere on the display to unlock the phone, compared to say for example, the V11, which only assigns a specific region on the screen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=108&v=4bnoAx27Aew Recently, a video has been posted online in the YouTube account – ifanr Video爱范儿视频, showing the device in its full glory, and even testing its new features. From  what we can see in the video, the phone sports a glossy back panel, but does seem to be made of plastic. Another thing that’s noticeable is the absence of physical keys, which are now replaced by Touch Sense Technology, which relies on capacitive touch and pressure sensing combined with carefully designed programming logic and software. The screen acts as the speaker, thanks to Body SoundCasting Technology.…

At a press conference in Beijing, Vivo announced the 2019 edition of its APEX phone. Its first ever 5G smartphone, the APEX 2019 features a uniquely recognizable design that utilizes a curved-surface waterdrop glass, and no openings. Yes, you won’t see a speaker, or even a charging port, taking the minimalist smartphone design to a whole new level. The APEX 2019’s FullView design completely rids the phone of bezels. The absence of physical buttons is made up for using Touch Sense Technology, which relies on capacitive touch and pressure sensing. Using carefully designed programming logic and software, the sensors can tell whether it’s the frame of the phone that’s being pressed, while capacitive touch determines position, resulting to extra-sensitive accuracy. The USB port is replaced by a MagPort, a magnetic power connector for both charging and data transfer. This allows the body to be more compact, while also providing a…
