We’ve been using the Vivo V17 Pro for a while now, and have so far come into terms with a lot of what it can and can’t do. Its predecessor, the V15 Pro, received a lot of love, thanks to its powerful internals, and a selfie camera that still holds its position as one that can even compete with a number of flagships. The V17 Pro on the other hand, is an attempt at taking building up on that momentum and taking it a step further. Here’s five thing that we think make this phone a solid contender in its category. A More Seamless Design As good as the V15 Pro was, its protruding rear camera module was just a bit too much for comfort. The V17 Pro’s new design addresses this issue, and now showcases a more seamless look. Its dual front cameras are also completely hidden from view,…

Vivo V15 Pro was one of the first smartphones to feature an elevating mechanism for the front camera, all in pursuit of a full-screen design. The idea raised a lot of concerns, as it did add moving parts, which could wear out easily with everyday use. Thankfully, the phone received a good review, not only because of its very capable hardware, but mostly for the performance of its front camera, which we think is still the best in its category. That record is being challenged today, by a phone from no less than the same brand. The V17 Pro is Vivo’s newest attempt at delivering a premium smartphone experience in the mid-range segment with a new design, powerful hardware, a high-capacity battery, four rear cameras, and a new dual front camera system, housed in a pop-up module. What’s in the Box Design The V17 Pro’s design is unlike anything we’ve…

While Vivo’s V-Series smartphones have received good reception, thanks to a combination of great performance and imaging capabilities, the company isn’t forgetting to show some love foe its Y-Series, which has undergone a “makeover.” Today, we’re taking a look at one the devices in this lineup, the Y17. Specifications [table id=334 /] Design and Build Quality Despite being technically in the budget segment, the Vivo Y17 looks more than its price. While the body is mostly plastic, a dual gradient glossy back panel certainly amps up its eye-candy factor.
