Xiaomi had another surprise for its fans today, as apart from launching the Redmi Note 5 AI in the Philippines, the company also revealed that its latest flagship, the Mi Mix 2s is also going to be available here very soon – June to be exact. The Mi Mix 2S features 5.99-inch FHD+ display with what is probably the closest to a bezel-less design that a phone can be.  Under the hood is no less than a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, along with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. For imaging, the device features dual 12MP sensors at the rear, capable of Dual Pixel PDAF, and 4-axis OIS, while a 5MP sensor is in charge of your selfies. Other features include fast-charging, Qi wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC. The Mix Mix 2S runs on MIUI 9.5 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo, and packs a 3,400mAh…

Xiaomi just revealed photos of its brand ambassador, Kris Wu, holding the  flagship Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s. And, looking at just the photos, one can see that the selfie cam is nowhere to be found. So where is it then? The thick bottom bezel, which the the endorser is cleverly hiding from the way he holds it should be where the camera is. This will make it look like its predecessor, the Mi Mix 2.    Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s goes notch-less. As for the specs, chipset-wise, it’s up there with most flagships with its Snapdragon 845. Photo leaks also confirm the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Xiaomi Mi Mix2 will be officially unveiled on March 27 in China. No news yet on pricing but given the sticker price  of its predecessor, it should be at the P25,000 to P30,000 range.  Source

In a head-scratching video, Xiaomi teased its Mi Mix 2s  with no product shown. Instead, we are shown two hands  that at first, would come across as an unorthodox way of counting fingers. I wouldn’t have guessed what the gestures meant myself if not for the numbers “8, 4 and 5” that pop on the screen repeatedly. The video is in Chinese but with the help of our friends from the technorati, the video asks: “how fast is your Snapdragon 845?” This question is actually a challenge to the flagship handsets of the bigger brands namely the Sony Xperia XZ2, Sony Xperia XZ2, the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+and the Asus Zenfone 5z that carry the same Snapdragon 845 SoC.  The Mi Mix 2s looks to be a contender with a reported 6.01″OLED screen, Sony IMX363 sensor, 8 GB RAM and 256 storage. Last year’s model, the Mi Mix 2, has been…

Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship, the Mi 7 has been allegedly pushed back in favor of another device. Now, a leaked banner shows what that device might be – the Mi Mix 2s. According to the leak, the Mi Mix 2s will feature a 5.99-inch edge to edge display allegedly named as Full Screen Design 3.0, and is powered by the Snapdragon 845 chip, along with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, which should be more than enough for most users. MicroSD card support is still welcome though. Rumor has it that the Mi Mix 2s also sports dual front facing cameras which utilize the Sony IMX363 sensor, as well as an under the display fingerprint sensor like the Vivo X20 Plus UD.  Following the trend, it may also make use of AI technology for its facial recognition features. Regardless of which comes first, the Mi Mix 2s or the Mi 7,…
