Recent leaks of the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 chipset from noted tipster Digital Chat Station report that the new processor will be fabricated on an advanced 2nm process node, signaling a major leap in efficiency and power.

The Dimensity 9600 is reported to feature an “all-big-core” CPU architecture (2+3+3). This design focuses on single-core gains, with early reports suggesting it could finally rival the performance of Apple’s A-series chips. Furthermore, the chipset is tipped to include a “Magni” GPU, which is said to feature superior ray-tracing capabilities and native-level frame interpolation.
While benchmarks show a potential 25% performance lead over current rivals, experts warn that these high clock speeds could cause thermal issues.
The Dimensity 9600 is expected to launch in September 2026, likely powering the next generation of flagships from certain brands. This launch window places it in direct competition with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
