OPPO has just announced the Reno3 series in China – OPPO Reno3 and OPPO Reno3 Pro.
The two new phones to join the flagship Reno series come with 5G out of the box. The Pro packs the new Snapdragon 765G SoC, while the base version becomes the first phone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset.
OPPO Reno3 Pro
The OPPO Reno3 Pro has a 6.5-inch OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It also has a punch hole for the 32MP front camera. Its display also comes with a 100% DCI-P3 coverage and HDR10+ support. In addition, the display features 180Hz touch detection, for for less lag and a better gaming experience.
On the rear, the Pro version has four cameras – 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide angle, 2MP black and white, and a 13MP telephoto shooter. It’s capable of 5x hybrid zoom, which is basically 2x optical and the rest being digital.
Along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, are two memory variants – a base 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and a 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. Juicing up the device is a 4,025mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 support.
It runs on ColorOS 7 on top of Android 10.
The OPPO Reno3 Pro comes in four colors – White, Black, Starry Night Blue, and Sunrise. The base 8GB/128GB version goes on pre-order on December 31 for CNY 3,999. The more powerful 12GB/256GB comes out on January for CNY 4,499.
A special Reno3 Pro Pantone 2020 will also be available and comes in the 2020 color, Classic Blue. It’s mostly in Classic Blue with hints of white, well… except for the case which is the other way around. The Pantone version comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB for CNY 4,199.
OPPO Reno3
The base version of the two phones has the same 6.5-inch OLED display but replaces the punch hole with a waterdrop notch with the same 32MP shooter. Under the display is its fingerprint scanner.
On the rear, the Reno3 has a 64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide lens, a black and white sensor, and a portrait camera.
Along with the new MediaTek Dimensity 1000L are two memory variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and a more powerful 12GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.
The Reno3 comes with a 4025mAh battery with VOOC 4.0 quick charge. It also runs on ColorOS 7.
The OPPO Reno3 comes in Black, White, Starry Night Blue, and Sunrise colors. The base 8GB/128GB will sell for CNY 3,399, while the 12GB/128GB will go for CNY 3,699. The base version of the Reno3 series will hit the Chinese markets on December 31.
