AMD’s latest RX 6000 series graphics cards are a remarkable leap in performance as these cards are finally able to keep up with team green’s offerings. However, the RX 6000 series still lags behind Nvidia’s RTX 30 series GPUs in terms of feature-set, especially in Ray Tracing. Moreover, AMD doesn’t have an answer for Nvidia’s newly released RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3060 graphics card until today with the announcement of the Radeon RX 6700 XT.

AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
In typical AMD fashion, the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is unveiled through their live stream titled “Where Gaming Beings: Ep.3 | AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series Expands.” The RX 6700XT is the newest addition to AMD’s RDNA2 series of GPUs. Interestingly enough, AMD only equipped the Radeon RX 6700 XT with 12GB of GDDR6 memory compared to their usual 16GB VRAMs.
Aimed at 1440p gaming, the Radeon RX 6700XT is positioned against both the Nvidia RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards.
Additionally, AMD also markets the Radeon RX 6700XT as an Esports GPU especially for gamers who rock a 1080p 240Hz or a 1440p 165Hz display.
Radeon RX 6700 XT Pricing and Availability
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is priced at $479 USD or Php 23,234 which is $20 lower than the RTX 3070 and $80 higher than the RTX 3060 Ti. It looks like we won’t have to wait much longer as the RX 6700 XT will be available on store shelves as early as March 18, 2021. The waiting time for AMD’s latest graphics card is lower compared to its bigger brothers where we waited for about a month for these cards to be available.
